Austin's Inn
This fully furnished, 1900 sq ft, century farmhouse is located on 18 acres and central to Ashtabula Co activities. The house is available to rent by the weekend, week or month and features a large, freshly updated kitchen with new electric appliances. The spacious dining and living rooms are perfect for gathering with family and friends and the dining room table comfortably seats eight guests. Four bedrooms supply adequate accomodations for eight (6 twins and one queen) with a full bathroom on the first level and 3/4 bath on the 2nd floor. Blankets and bath towels are furnished but you must supply your own bed linens. Central Air, deck, washer/dryer, chest freezer for your fish and Wifi have all been recently added.
Austinburg is the perfect retreat for outdoor enthusiasts, golfers, wine connoisseurs and anyone who is looking for rest and relaxation. "Austin's Camp" was founded in 1799 and became an important part of the underground railroad. One of the first stops on the Ashtabula County railroad still stands today, just South of the inn. There is a convenience store and a post office in town, local restaurants as well as fast food options within 1/2 mile. Twenty wineries, nineteen museums and eighteen covered bridges make Ashtabula County one of a kind. Explore Geneva-on-the-Lake's carnival feel during the summer, visit Jefferson's museums and enjoy a local festival. The county is known for trout fishing on the Grand and Ashtaubla Rivers and walleye from Lake Erie. Grab a canoe at a local livery to ride the river and then suit up for a bike ride along the beautiful Greenway Trail. The paved path extends for a total of 44 miles and is often covered by a canopy created by the branches of the surrounding forests. Snowmobiling and cross country skiing are popular "lake effect" activities.
